Andy's Surprise Birthday

Andy thought he was going to a romantic pre-birthday dinner with Mary... until he showed up and there was a wing dedicated to celebrate him!

Big laughs and smiles were a theme of the night. Everyone definitely enjoyed themselves! Here are some of my favorite shots.

After dinner, we took it to the bowling alley.

Rainy Days

Rainy days are nature's way of refueling us. They encourage us to enjoy life for the quieter and simpler things...

... Like relaxing and doing absolutely nothing!
... Getting lost in your favorite novel or movie.
... Or, being somewhat productive and completing errands we've put on hold.

While we were tackling our growing To Do List, I took a few minutes to CHERISH nature getting refueled.

By cultivating the beautiful we scatter the seeds of heavenly flowers,
as by doing good we cultivate those that belong to humanity.
- Robert Heinlein

Thanks for reading my post. Would love your feedback!

Amelia the Bachelorette

DC for Amelia's Bachelorette weekend! Great times and kind of surreal... Amelia was my first college roommate. We met via email, spilling our "likes and dislikes" prior to classes starting (when you could only use Facebook if you had a college email address). We immediately hit it off and shared wonderful memories throughout college.

It's surreal to see the college girl talks come to fruition, and beyond special to be a part of her love story... We met in DC to celebrate her last times as a Bachelorette.

January Hike

With little snow or frigid temperatures, it has hardly felt like winter! We went for a hike to enjoy the forecast: 60 degrees and sunny.

Stone Mountain hike is a favorite with its multiple outlooks and historic homestead.

Beautiful... taking it all in.

The 600-foot granite dome that rock climbers tackle.

Stone Mountain Summit: As I scoped out photog opportunities, Craig snapped a candid.

Beautiful view with stone, water, trees and mountains. Love the reflection!

Interesting holes built into the stone made for perfect 'steps'.

Trees, mountains and sky!

Talking with another hiker: Both appreciative of the beautiful day and opportunity to enjoy it.

Ending the hike with a wildlife spotting, deer!
